About the Golden Sneaker

The idea for this project came about when I saw yet another fund raising scheme pop up from everyone's favorite convicted felon, ex-President. I do not mention him by name. The assets in the collection do not say his name. They simply elude to the obvious connection.

It is an amazement to me that people are still willing to give that person money, and/or buy his overpriced bullshit merchandise. After all the things we've seen him do, between the fraud, the failed businesses, and just the overall insane stupidity, it is astonishing to me how many people are still fawning over him.

So I decided I wanted in on this. I wanted to make some things that would make ME some money. Not a lot, mind you. This really is more about the satire and the humor than me trying to be a millionaire. And thank goodness for that. Because I assure you, I'm barely making enough to pay for production of new assets.

At first, I was only going to produce The Golden Sneakers. At the risk of stating the obvious, it was THAT silly thing that got this project started. Since I was making the NFTs, I needed a way to sell them. So I bought a domain and set up this marketplace.

In the time since, I decided to start adding new things to the collection that fit the theme of, "failed business ventures and other oddities." And so here we are.

I hope you enjoy the collection and the humor that it brings. But more than that, I hope you buy some stuff. Let's be serious. I need the money.
